2004 Season Highlights

•  Leskanic was signed by the Red Sox on June 22, four days after he was released by the Kansas City Royals.

•  He pitched a 1-2-3 tenth inning against Oakland on July 8. When the Sox rallied in the bottom of the inning, he picked up the win.

•  Curtis had a string of ten straight scoreless outings from August 20 to September 14, as the Red Sox made their late season charge toward the playoffs.

•  He walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning on October 2, earning the save.


2004 Postseason Highlights

•  Leskanic was on the roster for all three playoff rounds, but he didn't get into any games in the Division Series or World Series.

•  In the ALCS, he pitched a scoreless inning in Game 1 when Curt Schilling got knocked out early.

•  In Game 4, he came on in the eleventh, getting Bernie Williams to fly out to end the inning. He stayed in to pitch a scoreless twelfth, and picked up the win when David Ortiz homered in the bottom of the inning.
