The Fenway Experience
When I was seven years old, my father took me to Fenway Park for the first time, and as I grew up I knew that as a building it was on the level of Mount Olympus, the Pyramid at Giza, the nation's Capitol, the Czar's Winter Palace, and the Louvre - except, of course, that it was better than all those inconsequential places.

Fenway: A Biography in Words and Pictures, by Dan Shaughnessy and Stan Grossfield. This beautiful book celebrates every aspect of the storied ballpark. From the players to the fans to the scoreboard operators to the Green Monster, the book captures the unique feel of Fenway Park. It is divided into five sections: Historic Fenway, Game Day, The Wall, The All-Star Game at Fenway, and Fenway Memories, which contains writing from 14 fans of Fenway, from Stephen King to Carl Yastrzemski. This book is one of my personal favorites, and is a must for all fans of the Olde Towne Team and our beloved ballpark. Add it to your personal collection, or give it as a gift to that special Fenway fan.
