The National Baseball Hall of Fame
Cooperstown, NY
| In 2000, I went to Cooperstown for Carlton Fisk's induction. The plaques of the 2000 inductees stood in the middle of the gallery. Entering the Hall of Fame in 2000 were Tony Perez, Sparky Anderson, Turkey Stearnes, Bid McPhee, and Boston hero Carlton Fisk.
For my photos of the induction ceremony, see Carlton Fisk in the Hall of Fame.

A STAUNCH TRAINING REGIMEN EXTENDED HIS DURABILITY AND ENHANCED HIS PRODUCTIVITY, AS EVIDENCED BY A RECORD 72 HOME RUNS AFTER AGE 40. HIS DRAMATIC HOME RUN TO WIN GAME SIX OF THE 1975 WORLD SERIES IS ONE OF BASEBALL'S UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS. WAS THE 1972 AMERICAN LEAGUE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AND AN 11-TIME ALL-STAR.

| The Carlton Fisk display has uniforms he wore in Boston and Chicago. There is also the catcher's mask he wore for the White Sox the day he broke the A.L. record for most games caught, and his batting glove from the 1978 playoff game against the Yankees.

Outside the Hall of Fame's library were these statues of two important figures in Red Sox history, The Bambino and The Kid.
